Historically Black Athletics League Admits Its First Non-HBCU Member

The nation’s oldest historically black athletics league welcomed its first non-historically black member on Wednesday.

Chowan University, located in rural Murfreesboro, N.C., became the first college to join the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association that does not hold the federal designation of being a historically black institution.
