Historians Join Effort to Get Colleague's Work Out of Limbo
More than 100 historians have signed a letter accusing a private girls' school in Baltimore of suppressing academic freedom by blocking publication of a dissertation on the school's history. At least two academic presses have declined to publish the manuscript because of threats of legal action by the Bryn Mawr School.
