Higher-Education Groups Ask Senators to Support Net Neutrality
A dozen higher-education associations have sent a letter to two key U.S. senators, reiterating the groups' support for the principle of network neutrality on the Web.
The groups said a telecommunications bill that cleared the Senate commerce committee in June fails to include the principle, which requires cable and telephone companies to treat Web-site operators, including colleges, equitably.
