High-Tech Baby Making

To the Editor:

I would like to point out that "Making Babies With New Technologies" (July 30) takes some narrow positions. The statement quoted in the article that "A primal, intrinsically embodied act that women themselves used to perform is turned into a series of technological procedures performed on them" leads to the conclusion that women play no part in this process. This seems to be the tenor of the entire article. ...
