Her Offense Was Rank
The U.S. News & World Report rankings of colleges, which campus administrators love to hate but can't seem to live without, have claimed another victim.
Sheila Bennett, senior vice president at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, resigned last month at the request of President Mark Gearan after Ms. Bennett failed to submit updated information that the magazine uses to compile its annual survey. She will retain her position as a professor of sociology.
