Held Hostage
We were two hours into the class, with 30 minutes to go, when a stranger walked in and announced that he had a bomb and we were to be hostages until his demands were met. It was February 12 -- the same day the U.S. government had placed the country on high alert following warnings it had received about unspecified terrorist attacks. None of us wondered if this was just a prank. We immediately complied with the hostage taker's orders.
