Health-Care Costs: The Pain Continues for Colleges

The escalation of national health-care costs is expected to slow somewhat in 2006. Premiums on employer-sponsored health insurance, which have undergone double-digit- percentage increases for four consecutive years, will rise a comparatively modest 9.2 percent next year, predicts the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation.

For many colleges, however, rising health-care costs will continue to be a source of severe discomfort.
