Head of United Negro College Fund to Retire

William H. Gray III, president and chief executive officer of the United Negro College Fund since 1991, announced this month that he would retire in March.

Mr. Gray, 62, came to the fund from the U.S. House of Representatives, where he served a Pennsylvania district for 13 years and, as a Democrat, ended up as majority whip.
