Head of North Carolina State U. Considered for Science Post at White House
Marye Anne Fox, chancellor of North Carolina State University, is being suggested by Washington insiders as a possible nominee for director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.
So far, President-elect George W. Bush has been preoccupied with quickly assembling his Cabinet and key staff members, and science policy has not topped his agenda. But speculation has centered on Ms. Fox and Charles M. Vest, president of the Massachusetts
