Head of Lobbying Group for Trade Schools Takes Job With For-Profit Educator

Omer E. Waddles is not headed to the White House.

Mr. Waddles, who has served as the president of the Career College Association for the past two years, was rumored to be a top choice to replace Robert M. Shireman as a senior education-policy adviser at the National Economic Council, which helps shape the Clinton Administration's domestic policy. Mr. Shireman left in November.
