Head of Cancer Institute Announces Resignation
Richard D. Klausner resigned last month as director of the National Cancer Institute to lead a new science foundation set up by Steve Case, chairman of AOL Time Warner. Researchers praised Dr. Klausner for having provided strong leadership at the National Institutes of Health during a period of substantial growth.
