Haven for Student Activism
The death of Sen. Paul Wellstone two years ago shook political activists everywhere, but nowhere was the shock greater than at Carleton College, where he had taught political science for 21 years.
The senator's legacy lives on at the Wellstone House of Organization and Activism, a new student-interest house on the campus. For activists at Carleton, the house will be a rallying point. For those who knew Mr. Wellstone as a professor, it is a fitting memorial to his grass-roots organizing
