HARVARD DEAN STEPS DOWN: A dean appointed by Harvard University's president has announced that she is stepping down after just three years on the job. She says her move has nothing to do with the recent controversy surrounding the university's embattled leader.
Ellen Condliffe Lagemann, 59, dean of Harvard's Graduate School of Education, wrote in a letter posted on Harvard's Web site that she wants to get back to her work as a scholar and instructor. She will vacate the dean's office
