Harvard's Aid for Undergraduates
To the Editor:
I read with interest Elizabeth F. Farrell's "The Changing Face of Student Aid" (The Chronicle, April 4), and I write to clear up some misconceptions about the financial-aid program at Harvard College.
With all due respect for my colleague at Claremont McKenna College, all of our institutional aid at Harvard College is based exclusively on financial need. We have no merit or athletics scholarships, and we ask students and their families to submit complete
