Harvard to Raise Wages of Lowest-Paid Workers
Harvard University's president said last month that the institution would adopt the core recommendations of an internal committee that had called for an increase in the wages of Harvard's lowest-paid workers. President Lawrence H. Summers said Harvard would raise the pay and benefits of custodial, retail-dining, and security-services workers to between $10.83 and $11.30 an hour.
Under the new policy, Harvard will negotiate the pay increases with unions.
