Harvard Outbids Columbia for Jazz Scholar; U. of Alabama at Tuscaloosa Seeks to Hire Experts in 'Creative Media'
Columbia University's Center for Jazz Studies lost out last month to Harvard University on a bid to woo Ingrid T. Monson, an associate professor of music at Washington University, in St. Louis.
