Harvard Law School Opens $400-Million Campaign
Harvard Law School has begun a $400-million fund-raising campaign, the largest such effort ever by a law school.
Most of the money will be used to hire faculty members, expand financial aid, create international programs, and improve the campus. Commitments totaling $170-million have already been made.
The announcement comes as the law school is changing leaders. Elena Kagan, who had been a law professor there, became dean on July 1, replacing Robert C. Clark.
