Harvard Endowment Nears $26-Billion
Harvard University's endowment earned a 19.2-percent return and grew to $25.9-billion in the 2005 fiscal year, the institution has announced. The university also selected an interim chief investment officer to manage the endowment as it seeks a permanent replacement for Jack R. Meyer, whose last day was September 30.
The return did not beat the 21.1 percent the endowment earned last year, but it nonetheless grew by $3.3-billion over the 2004 fiscal year.
