Harvard Board Member Steps Down, Citing Clashes With President
A member of Harvard University's seven-member governing board has resigned over disagreements with the institution's controversial president, Lawrence H. Summers.
"I have concluded that I can no longer support President Summers," the board member, Conrad K. Harper, said in a telephone interview.
