Gun Control: a 'Simplistic' Answer to a Complex Problem

I'm sure that Kristin A. Goss's "The Missing Movement for Gun Control" (The Chronicle Review, October 20) will be viewed favorably by most of your readers. If I may be allowed a dissenting view, I would like to point out two alternative reasons for the failure of the gun-control movement.
