Guiding Students Toward Careers
To the Editor:
Having worked for the last four years on career materials for students in the mathematical sciences, I understand exactly what Audrey Beth Stein is talking about in "A Pocket Guide to a Proactive Education" (Opinion, June 18). Without guidance, students are in danger of putting together a collection of courses that may add up to a degree but that do little to further their in-depth understanding
