Guaranteeing Jobs Works for Thomas College, Too

To the Editor:

I read with interest "Albion College Pledges Job Help to Future Grads" (The Chronicle, April 18). While I agree that this is an excellent concept for a college, I feel as though I should remind The Chronicle that Thomas College has been offering the Guaranteed Job Placement Program to graduates since 1999. The program has been very successful over the last decade—including recent years in this troubled economy—having only paid out to six students.
