Group of 13 Scholars Plans Colloquium and New Journal on College Sports
Thirteen senior scholars from a variety of disciplines have joined to study a topic that gets plenty of ink but not as much serious attention as some researchers would like: college sports.
The group, whose backgrounds are in business, law, philosophy, and psychology, as well as kinesiology and sports management, announced last month that it planned to organize a colloquium on college sports at next year's NCAA convention. Members of the group are also in discussions with publishers
