Group Urges Congress to Curb Abuses by Charities

A report from an influential group of nonprofit leaders calls on Congress to enact strict rules to fix problems with donor-advised funds, supporting organizations, tax shelters, and many other activities -- and to come up with hundreds of millions of dollars to help enforce the proposed changes.

The report offers more than 100 ideas for ending abuses among nonprofit groups and helping charities and foundations become more transparent to the public.
