Group Seeks On-Line Alternatives to High-Cost Scholarly Journals
A coalition of research libraries that is seeking alternatives to high-cost scholarly journals is putting its money where its mouth is.
The Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition, a project of the Association of Research Libraries, announced last week that it would offer $500,000 in grants for electronic experiments in new approaches to scholarly communications.
