The American Association of State Colleges and Universities has compiled a list of the top 10 issues of higher-education policy that it expects to be at the forefront this year in the states.
Many of the issues, such as affordability and accountability, seem to play a role in state legislative sessions most years. Others, such as tepid budget forecasts, portend a potential new direction for debates in 2008.
The group provides a summary of all 10 issues in a five-page policy brief.
