Group Begins Campaign to Send Low-Income Minority Students to College
The American Council on Education's "College Is Possible" campaign is entering Phase 2.
In 1998, the council put together a coalition of 1,300 colleges and 30 academic groups to better inform the public about the availability of financial aid.
As that effort nears an end, the council is beginning a more-focused project to find the most effective ways to help motivate and prepare low-income minority students to go to college and graduate from it.
