The Chronicle has always been known as the place to find a job in academe. For more than 30 years, job seekers have relied on the hundreds of classified ads every week in our print edition. The Careers portion of our Web site, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, has also become a popular gathering place for academics and would-be academics seeking advice from each other in our forums or from columnists who write regularly for us about the academic workplace on the Web
