Grand Jury Probes Career Education
The U.S. Department of Justice is investigating the Career Education Corporation, which is already facing a shareholder lawsuit and an inquiry by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, according to a statement released by the company on September 2.
Career Education, a higher-education company, "was not provided with any information on the focus of the investigation and cannot comment further at this time," the statement said.
