A graduating senior at Washington College was presented with one of the most lucrative undergraduate literary awards at the Maryland institution’s commencement on Sunday. According to The Washington Post, the Sophie Kerr Prize, worth $67,481 this year, was awarded to 22-year-old Emma Sovich, an English major, for her poetry, essays, and entries on her blog, The Composing Stick. —Andrew Mytelka
