Graduate Applications From Foreigners Rise
Foreign applications to American graduate schools have not increased as significantly this year as they did last year, when a 12-percent jump reversed sharp declines in 2004 and 2005, according to an annual survey released this month by the Council of Graduate Schools.
Despite the 8-percent increase this year, however, international applications are still down 27 percent since 2003, the report says. Applications from China for admissions this fall increased 17 percent, almost matching
