Governor Is Blasted for Endorsing State's Technology Chief to Lead Colorado State U.
Colorado farmers and Democratic state lawmakers want Gov. Bill Owens to butt out of the search for a new president at Colorado State University.
The Colorado Farm Bureau and the Rocky Mountain Farmers Union wrote to the Republican governor last month, asking him to take back his endorsement of Marc Holtzman, the state's secretary of technology, for the university's top job.
Members of those groups worry that Mr. Holtzman, a businessman who lacks higher-education management
