Government Will Seek Dismissal of Professor's Challenge to Digital-Copyright Act

Department of Justice has prepared a brief that asks a judge to dismiss a professor's lawsuit that challenges the constitutionality of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. The lawsuit, by Edward W. Felten, a Princeton University computer scientist, also asks that he and his team of cryptography researchers be declared immune from prosecution under the act.
