Gov. Palin Supported Extra Funds for U. of Alaska System
National higher-education leaders were left scratching their heads on Friday about what the choice of Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska as John McCain's running mate might mean for their policy agendas.
"We know nothing about her. She just doesn't have a profile on national issues," said Sarah A. Flanagan, vice president for government relations and policy at the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities.
