Good Advice
At Brigham Young University about 80 percent of new faculty members participate in a voluntary 18-month program with a mentor. Each new professor receives a $2,000 stipend, and they choose their own mentors, who get $500 stipends. The duos attend an orientation and meet at least twice a month during the year.
