Georgian Students Protest New Standards
Attempts to uphold a new law overhauling education in Georgia have led to several weeks of protests in the capital, T'bilisi. Police aggressively broke up early demonstrations, after which students went on a hunger strike, the government dismissed a university rector, and the political opposition tried to impeach the country's minister of education and science.
