Georgia Regents Mend Fences With University's Fund-Raising Foundation
The University of Georgia and its fund-raising foundation will not go their separate ways after all.
Last week the University System of Georgia's Board of Regents reversed its May decision to sever the university's ties with the foundation.
During several months of talks, foundation officials assured the board that they would "focus on their primary task of supporting and raising funds for the university," said Joel O. Wooten Jr., the regents' chairman.
