Georgia Humanities Council Is Creating an Encyclopedia Online
The Georgia Humanities Council is heading up a project to create an encyclopedia of the state's history and culture. What makes this different from dustier encyclopedia projects is that the New Georgia Encyclopedia -- in its first years, at least -- will exist online only, and articles will be written and edited through a custom-built Web-based program.
GALILEO, the library database of the University System of Georgia, will donate the hardware for the project
