George Mason U. Board Ends Experimental College's Autonomy
A set of interdisciplinary programs at George Mason University known as New Century College almost failed to make it into the new century.
Concerned about a lack of rigor in the experimental college's courses, the university's Board of Visitors last week voted to end New Century's autonomy and place it under the control of George Mason's College of Arts and Sciences.
