Genetic Science and Discrimination
The National Institutes of Health has awarded Alan R. Sanders, a psychiatrist at Evanston Northwestern Healthcare Research Institute, near Chicago, a grant for a five-year study of the genetics of male homosexuality. The study, which began last fall, will analyze blood samples from approximately 1,000 pairs of homosexual brothers. It will also look at birth order and gender nonconformity in childhood.
