Gender-Equity Issues at California State U.
To the Editor:
Your July 21 article "Faculty Union at California State U. Charges That Merit-Pay System Favors Men" presents conflicting statistics on the merit-pay system. ... I will try to shed some light on these statistics; however, my primary thesis is that the failure of Cal State to hire new, tenure-track faculty members constitutes the real discrimination against women.
