A student suspended from a Baptist university adjusts to his role in the national spotlight
Jason Johnson loves the stage. In recent years, the sophomore at the University of the Cumberlands has performed in productions of Godspell and The Tempest. But this month he landed an unexpected role: spokesman for students who are both gay and Christian.
Two weeks ago, Mr. Johnson, 20, was suspended from the small Baptist university here after administrators viewed his personal Web page
