Gates Foundation Expands Program
The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation announced last month that it would give $30-million in grants to expand a program that creates high schools that provide college-level courses to needy students.
The gift will allow the program to expand from 19 states to at least 25. Students who attend the high schools can earn two years of college credit or associate degrees.
