Gates Foundation Creates $100-Million Program to Send Needy Students to College
The world's richest philanthropy is giving another $100-million for scholarships to disadvantaged students.
The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is creating a 13-year program to help low-income high-school students in Washington State attend college.
The Washington State Achievers Program will single out 10 to 15 public high schools with at least 100 students, and where at least 20 percent of the students qualify for free or reduced-cost lunch. Only
