Gang Warfare in Academe

Kudos for Lennard J. Davis's essay on "The Uses of Fear and Envy in Academe" (Opinion, June 11). The matter of fear and loathing in academic departments must certainly be regarded as one of few remaining taboo subjects that are never subjected to scrutiny.
