RELIEF AT GALLAUDET: With a brand-new provost, Stephen F. Weiner, and a new president, Robert R. Davila, students, staff, and faculty members at the nation's only liberal-arts university for the deaf are breathing a sigh of relief.
Mr. Weiner, who was promoted to provost at Gallaudet University last week, had been one of three finalists for the presidency back in 2006. The job went instead to Jane K. Fernandes, leading to lengthy protests in the fall. Mr. Weiner says he wasn't
