Fund Raising: Managing Data Is a Key Task

Raising money for colleges in the next decade will be as much about managing data as it will be about visiting potential donors or appearing at alumni reunions.

Already some campus fund raisers are busy setting up "data marts" and "data mining" projects. The number of such projects will grow as colleges with money to spend on information technology realize they need to do more to automate their collection and analysis
