From Ranch to Learning Center
The University of Arkansas System has received $53-million and a 50-year lease to a mountaintop ranch from the Winthrop Rockefeller Charitable Trust. The gift will be used by the university to transform the ranch, atop Petit Jean Mountain, into a facility that will focus on revitalizing the state's economy.
The Winthrop Rockefeller Center, as the facility will be known, will contain a culinary-arts school, a language institute, and a public-policy program designed to bring together
