From One Football 'Cinderella' to Another
In December, when Robert W. Kustra, president of Boise State University, was gearing up for his football team's debut appearance in the Bowl Championship Series, he got a call from a tipster who told him to prepare for much more than a game.
The caller, Alan G. Merten, president of George Mason University, managed an onslaught of news-media attention last year, when George Mason's scrappy men's basketball team advanced to the Final Four.
