From Friend to Foe
At a private Boston college, a professor-turned-president wants her former colleagues to give up their union
At some point during the spring semester, the elevators in Emerson College's Ansin Building stopped going freely to the 14th floor. Professors and students suddenly needed special clearance, relayed by guards stationed in the building's lobby, to get there.
For professors at the small but growing college, the guarded floor was immediately recognizable as a new battle line
